A motorcycle collision can cause severe injuries that may require weeks or months of recovery time. Some victims are left with a permanent disability. A cyclist who has been hurt in an accident caused by the negligence of another driver may wish to speak with an attorney. By using police reports, accident investigation results and witness accounts, the motorcycle accident attorney may determine that it would be advisable to file a personal injury lawsuit against the at-fault party seeking compensation. If the claim of negligence is successfully proven in court, an injured victim could receive a needed settlement that covers current and future medical expenses, loss of income, pain and suffering, property damage and other amounts.
